Workshop Description

You asked, and we delivered! A full 4-hours dedicated to learning about ADHD and how it impacts clients’ lives and our clinical work with them. Living with ADHD can be a real challenge, and clinical support needs to be tailored to meet the unique needs of the ADHD brain and body. Exploring topics ranging from social and emotional differences to sensory and cognitive differences, this course will give clinicians a great foundation in neurodivergent-affirming care.

This course is taught by ADHDer B Lourenco, LMHC, and combines information from collective lived experiences with established research to bring you the most up-to-date supports and interventions. Consider joining us for a neurodivergent affirming learning experience!

Workshop Objectives

Upon course completion, attendees will….

- be able to compare ADHD experiences and traits through the Neurodivergent-Affirming model vs. the current medical model

- demonstrate understanding of the impact of ADHD on emotions, communication, and relationships

- illustrate understanding of how ADHD impacts a person's brain and body functions

- define ways to support ADHDers using ND-affirming supports
